"I was just trolling": Shedeur Sanders shares his true feelings around calling out Cam Ward for Colorado-Miami clash

Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward and Darryl Colbert Jr. did a FaceTime call where they jokingly called each other out. Sanders exclaimed that the Miami quarterback was "lucky" to match up with Iowa State and not Colorado in the Bowl game. Both quarterbacks took playful jabs at each other during the call.

Sanders revealed his true feelings about the FaceTime call in the new episode of "2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders."

"Come on, bro. I have confidence in my team, bro," Sanders said. "No, I was just trolling. I was just trolling that. You see it went viral that I said it to Cam. I was just trolling him, bro. That was it because that's what he'd be doing all the time. I'm just happy to see us both successful, bro. That's all that makes me happy."

Colorado finished 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the Big 12. Sanders passed for 3,926 yards with 35 touchdowns against eight interceptions. They suffered an upset loss against Kansas which turned pivotal as they couldn't qualify for the conference championship game.

On the other hand, Cam Ward's Miami had an amazing 9-0 start to the season but dropped two of their last three games against Georgia Tech and Syracuse. They ended the regular season ranking 12th before the championship games. Ward had 4,123 passing yards, 36 touchdowns along with seven interceptions.

On "The Travis Hunter Show," Colorado Buffaloes two-way star was surprised about Shedeur Sanders not being a part of the Heisman finalists despite winning the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award. Sanders hearing Hunter's views said:

"I mean, I'm not really tripping on it, bro.Honestly, I don't need others' validation to know who I am, so I don't really care. As long as they give at least one of us the respect we deserve, that's all that matters to me."
"If Trav receive an award, it's because of the team. We're not selfish people, you know what I mean? To where we just care about our own accolades and stuff like that. We don't really care like that.We just like having fun, playing a game, and just real relationships. So that's what I'm saying. When Trav wins the Heisman, I feel like I won the Heisman because we are a part of something," Shedeur added

Sanders and Hunter will likely feature in Alamo Bowl against the BYU Cougars on Dec. 28.
