"I'm so done with them" - Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders lashes out at the referees after Shedeur Sanders takes a brutal hit against Kansas

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has had a stellar season, leading the Buffaloes to bowl-eligibility for the first time in eight years while contending for a spot in the Big 12 championship game. That dream took a big hit when the Buffs lost 37-21 to the Kansas Jayhawks in Week 13 on Saturday.

The game was heated, and the maverick Buffs quarterback was on the end of one of the most controversial moments of the weekend. Kansas defensive end Dean Miller tackled Sanders late, below the knees, causing him to writhe around in pain before returning to the game.

During his postgame news conference, Shedeur Sanders was shocked that the play by Miller did not warrant punishment for the Jayhawks DE.

"I just don't know how that's legal," Sanders said. "Overall, I understand that, but you know, it is what it is. It was a couple of plays like that, but yeah."

Shedeur's ever-supportive mother and Coach Prime's ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, was seemingly livid at the hit by Miller. She voiced her frustration at the officials in an Instagram post.

"Because it's not! I'm telling you something needs to be done with these UNOFFICIAL "OFFICIALS" I'm so done with them," Pilar Sanders wrote.

Shedeur Sanders shoves referee in heated Kansas game

After the brutal hit that he took in the first half of the Kansas game, Shedeur Sanders was on edge, and he showed it when he appeared to shove the head official during a scuffle between the teams in the third quarter. Although personal contact with the officials usually results in an ejection, the Colorado quarterback escaped any punishment.

Fox Sports rules analyst Mike Pereira highlighted the luck that the Buffs quarterback had after the incident.

“Look, I get why he is upset because people are almost climbing over him after he was down," Pereira said. "But, you know, the officials can use their hands all they want to try to keep the order. But you cannot come back as a player and push the official. And the chaos the officials didn’t see, but he’s lucky he wasn’t ejected from the game.”

Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes had the destiny of their season in their own hands before the loss to the Kansas Jayhawks. They will now have to rely on the charity of other teams to clinch a spot in the Big 12 championship game and possibly a spot in the expanded College Football Playoff.
