"I'm excited and scared": $150 million worth Dave Portnoy gears up for much-awaited food reviews ahead of Red River Rivalry
Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy can’t wait for the weekend as he's heading to Dallas for the hyped-up Red River Rivalry between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. But the game isn't the only reason Portnoy is excited.
The Massachusetts native, who is worth $150 million per Celebrity Net Worth, has made a name for his viral "One Bite" pizza reviews over the years. And on Wednesday, he teased his followers on X that he’ll be doing a load of one-bite reviews on the wild, unique food offerings at the State Fair of Texas.
"We are going to Red River Rivalry next weekend. Im gonna fly in early and go to State Fair of Texas on Friday and do infinity 1 bite reviews of everything. Im excited and scared."
If his reviews from past events, like the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks earlier this year, are any indication, fans can expect a hilarious mix of reactions to everything from fried Oreos to turkey legs.
This year's clash of the Red River Rivalry will be historic. This week's game between Texas and Oklahoma is the first time they will meet as conference rivals in the SEC. The game has been played annually since 1929 and takes place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas during the Texas State Fair.

Oklahoma and Texas are fired up for Red River Rivalry
The Red River Rivalry is heating up as Oklahoma and Texas prepare for their first big game as SEC rivals. Sooners coach Brent Venables is ready to go full throttle, and he knows how intense this rivalry is.
“This is real, just hate in the heart, passion, intensity. It's an amazing environment. All the pageantry that goes into this and the long history and tradition, pride, this game means so much to so many people in both states,” Venables stated in 2022 per Oklahoma Sooners on SI.
On the other hand, the Longhorns, led by Steve Sarkisian, remain undefeated heading into their open week. The Texas head coach knows the importance of staying in the right frame of mind as his team faces the long grind of the season.
While Sarkisian's first-choice quarterback, Quinn Ewers, is recovering from an oblique strain, teenage sensation Arch Manning is providing his backup services.
"We’ve got two really capable players at the position. We’re extremely fortunate," Sarkisian said per KXAN.
Expect nothing less than fireworks when these two powerhouses clash at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Bragging rights and SEC glory are on the line for both teams.
