In an interview on "The Pivot with Ryan Clark," Nabers delved into the mindset that has propelled his success. When asked about his relentless approach to the game, Nabers said:
"I would say, you know, 'cause this game could have been taken from me, you know, early, you know, a lot of different times. So when I'm out there on the field, bro, it's like the mentality that I have is I'm gon f**k you over."
He further explained his approach, emphasizing the competitive nature of football and his determination to outperform his opponents.
"Like when I get the opportunity, I'm going to do it because, you know, a person going to do it to me," Nabers said. "So if I can do it to you before you do it to me a hundred times on the field before you can get that one. ... It is what it is, 'cause that one time it's gonna happen to me, it's gonna be pushed and talked about more than anything."
Malik Nabers impressed on the field for LSU as his skills let him catch deep passes. With reliable hands, in three seasons with the LSU Tigers, Nabers got 3,003 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns on 189 passes. His biggest year was 2023, with 89 passes, 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Setting records at LSU, Malik Nabers etched his name in the school's history books with career highs, including 189 receptions, 3,003 yards receiving and 10 receptions in a half, achieved against Mississippi State in 2023.

"(We had) great meetings. He has a great personality; he makes people laugh that are in the room," Nabers said. "He's going to compete with you for sure, he has high standards for his athletes. So, I am hoping he has high standards for me, and I live up to those."
