"It beeps all night": When Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders playfully revealed diabetic Shelomi's mischievous habits to sum up her struggles
Shelomi Sanders is the youngest child of Coach Prime and his ex-wife Pilar Sanders. The young college basketball star has type 1 diabetes, and Pilar once opened up on how she helps her daughter, while also spilling the beans on some of her mischievous habits.
In an Instagram video Pilar posted on April 29, she was seen sitting with Shelomi when the latter's blood glucose monitor began beeping. Pilar then told a tale about Shelomi's mischievous nature.
"Being the mother of someone who battles diabetes," Pilar said. "This here, did you hear that sound? I know you did. This little girl here would take this mechanism, while it's still beeping, and hide it somewhere in my room.
"And it beeps all night. All day. I'm doing a scavenger hunt, trying to find one of these while it's beeping."
Pilar Sanders also added a caption on her IG video that read
"T1D Moms Of course I’m not searching everywhere in the house to find this device double wrapped in 2 socks, a T-Shirt in a bag that’s in a shoe box under my bed every 3 days."

"When I'm low, you can kind of tell. Like my whole energy or whatever just drops," Shelomi said. "That's a big part of my success, I think. Just having teammates and stuff that really support me, that support system means a lot."
While Shelomi's parents Deion and Pilar Sanders have chosen to avoid each other after their high-profile divorce, they put aside their differences to help their youngest child battle her issues with diabetes.
Shelomi currently plays college basketball for Alabama A&M. She began her collegiate career at Jackson State in 2022 and spent last season at Colorado.
Deion and Pilar have two more children, Shilo and Shedeur, both of whom play college football at Colorado, under Coach Prime.
