"I was trying to get your attention" - Popular comedian admits wanting to marry Colorado HC Deion Sanders in a hilarious confession
Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders quickly moved past his team's 37-21 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday by appearing on his new talk show, where he was joined by stand-up comedian Leslie Jones. Off the gridiron, the charismatic Buffs coach started co-hosting a weekly talk show named "We Got Time Today" with co-host Rocsi Diaz.
The show will air on the streaming platform "Tubi," which is under the Fox Corporation and will have 20 one-hour episodes. On Wednesday, Coach Prime was the subject of a hilarious moment when Jones cheekily popped the question to Deion Sanders after attending the game against the Utah Utes at Folsom Field on Nov. 16 and experiencing the raucous atmosphere.
"You know I said I would go to hell first before I ever did this but, will you marry me?" Jones said. "Will you marry me man? I was trying to get your attention, I went and did the swag. I was like, 'Does he see me though?' It was insane! It was awesome, awesome, they crazy!"
During the first episode of the show, Sanders revealed that he was using his role as a host on the show as a recruiting tool for future prospects.
“Well, this is like a form of recruiting for me, because a lot of the parents are … our viewers with Tubi,” Deion Sanders said. “Tubi does a wonderful job of reaching all ethnicities … They reach everybody. And this is a tremendous platform for me to talk to some of the parents out there."
Deion Sanders gets advice from Peyton Manning on talk show
During the "We Got Time Today" show's first episode on Wednesday, former NFL great Peyton Manning, who has a working relationship with Deion Sanders, made a video appearance and gave the Colorado coach a hilarious piece of advice.
“Coach, I know this show like everything you do is going to be a huge success, but if I can humbly offer you just one piece of advice, it’s this: If you happen to play my Tennessee Volunteers in a bowl game or the playoff this year, skip the game, and focus on the show instead, OK?” Manning said. “Is that cool? Thank you very much. Congratulations again to both of you.”
Deion Sanders has a history of multi-tasking throughout his career, having been a two-sport athlete during his playing career while juggling a reality television show focusing on his family.
