"I would’ve been carted off the field": Former Louisville QB Lamar Jackson reacts to jaw-dropping scrimmage play that left defender with an ACL injury
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been wowing fans with his jaw-dropping moves for years. It turns out that he's been doing it since his college days at Louisville.
In a recent revelation on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard shared a wild story about Jackson's elusive abilities. Greenard recalled an unforgettable moment from a practice under coach Bobby Petrino.
"I think it was the first camp practice we had, and Petrino had him live," Greenard said. "We're all looking like, 'You sure?' And I'm pretty sure [Jackson] was looking back like, 'Are y'all sure?'"
"I remember he took a read zone about 70 yards first play. And then next time he took another read zone and stopped on a dime, and everybody knows the story that went to Louisville. Man, he ended up tearing a guy's ACL based off of him cutting so hard and dude's trying to stop on a dime too."
Lamar Jackson's reaction to this jaw-dropping story was nothing short of disbelief.
"I would’ve been carted off the field," Jackson said.
His legendary agility and quickness have long been a part of his game, making defenders look silly with his jukes and spins.

When Alabama QB Jalen Milroe was compared with Lamar Jackson
Jalen Milroe’s stellar display throughout the 2023 season has been a game-changer for Alabama. His performance propelled the Crimson Tide to the SEC championship win. It was then that No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart heaped praise on Milroe.
Smart, a former assistant of Nick Saban at Alabama, compared Jalen Milroe to none other than the Baltimore Ravens star, calling him a “bigger, more physical version.”
"[Milroe] is like when I used to ask my sons on 'Madden,’ they wanted to play with the Ravens and I'd ask, 'Why are you playing with the Ravens?'" Smart remarked. "They'd say, 'I've got Lamar Jackson and nobody can tackle him.' This guy is a bigger, more physical version of that."
When comparing their college stats, Milroe boasts of a 66.4% completion percentage with 2,526 passing yards. He had 21 touchdowns, and 439 rushing yards with 12 rushing touchdowns in 2023.
Jackson, on the other hand, during his 2015 season, had a 54.7% completion rate, 1,840 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, and 960 rushing yards with 11 rushing touchdowns.
