Let's take a, deeper dive into the injuries for both Illinois and Oregon and discuss the latest updates for these players.

Illinois vs. Oregon Injury Report

Illinois injury report

The Illinois Fighting Illini are a dominant program, but they have key players on offense dealing with injuries. Let's look at some of the significant players that are not at 100%.

Kaden Feagin, Running Back

Sophomore running back Kaden Feagin was one of the top running backs in the Big Ten. He suffered a hip injury and successfully underwent surgery, so he will be out for the remainder of the 2024 college football season.

Feagin had a solid season before suffering the injury during the game against Penn State at the end of September. He recorded 67 carries for 306 yards (4.6 yards per attempt) with three rushing touchdowns as well as five receptions for 37 yards (7.4 yards per catch).

Ashton Hollins, Wide Receiver

Sophomore wide receiver Ashton Hollins has been dealing with an undisclosed injury that has been plaguing him as he has not been on the field since Sept. 14. He has recorded a pair of catches for 40 yards (20.0 yards per reception) without finding the end zone.

Cole Rusk, Tight End

Junior tight end Cole Rusk has not appeared in a game this season as he continues to recover from a knee injury. Last year, he had posted 39 catches for 512 yards (13.1 yards per reception) with six touchdown grabs, so his presence is certainly missed.

Oregon injury report

The Oregon Ducks are the top-ranked program for a reason, but they have some significant players on both sides of the field currently on the injury report.

Terrance Ferguson, Tight End

Senior tight end Terrance Ferguson is officially listed as questionable as he is recovering from an appendectomy and missed last week's game. He has been one of the top players in the passing game this year, recording 20 catches for 321 yards (16.0 yards per reception) but has not found the end zone.

Jordan Burch, Defensive End

Senior defensive back Jordan Burch has not played due to a noncontact, lower-body injury that he suffered in practice and not played since Oct. 4. This is a massive blow as he has 19 total tackles (seven solo, 12 assisted) with five sacks, three pass deflections and a fumble recovery.

Jahlil Florence, Defensive Back

Junior defensive back Jahlil Florence is yet to play a game for the Oregon Ducks this season as he recovers from an undisclosed injury. He had a good season in 2023, recording 27 total tackles (21 solo, six assisted) with a sack, a pass deflection and one interception.

Gary Bryant Jr., Wide Receiver

Junior wide receiver Gary Bryant Jr. is yet to suit up for the Oregon Ducks this season after suffering a foot injury and is still recovering from that. Last season, he was a force as he had 30 receptions for 442 yards and four touchdowns, but has not had a timetable to return.
