IN PHOTOS: Alabama stars Jalen Milroe, Malachi Moore and more mark their presence at the Talladega racing track
Alabama football stars Jalen Milroe, Malachi Moore, Kobe Prentice, DeVonta Smith, and a few others hung out in the pits with members of RFK Racing`s pit crew at Talladega Race Track for the NASCAR Geico 500.
The young football stars from the Crimson Tide were seen posing with the pit crew members, with the photos posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Alabama's fervor for stock car racing makes it unsurprising to see Jalen Milroe and his Crimson Tide teammates at Talladega. The players notably captured the photographs before RFK Racing, led by Brad Keselowski, hit the track.
In the end, Keselowski finished second behind 23XI Racing`s Tyler Reddick, who won after taking advantage of a crash involving then-frontrunner Michael McDowell of Front Row Motorsports.
Milroe and Alabama are preparing to redeem themselves next season with the 6-foot-2 quarterback skipping the 2024 NFL Draft to return to Tuscaloosa. Notably, he will be one of the few holdovers left on the Tide following the departure of legendary head coach Nick Saban after the last season.
In the upcoming one, Alabama will field a new head coach in Kalen DeBoer, who previously led the Washington Huskies to the national title game just last season. DeBoer will have the unenviable task of succeeding perhaps the greatest college football coach ever, but with Jalen Milroe and a few promising prospects, Alabama doesn`t have to completely start from scratch.
They fell to Michigan in the CFP Semifinal in OT, where Milroe finished with 116 passing yards.
Jalen Milroe captured another cool photo with the GOAT
While Jalen Milroe and the Alabama crew were at Talladega to support hometown RFK Racing, they didn`t miss the chance to snap a photo with Michael Jordan, the owner of 23XI Racing.
Jordan was on hand celebrating Tyler Reddick`s comeback win, and Milroe grabbed the opportunity to ask for a snap with the six-time NBA champion. The photo was reposted on X by Alabama football YouTuber Kyle Henderson, and it has since been viewed over 30k times on the platform:
The NBA legend co-owns 23XI Racing with former three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin. As the clear reason for the "23" in the team`s name, Jordan announced the formation of the team back in 2020 with him as the majority owner.
