Michigan quarterback Davis Warren had a rough outing in Week 2. The Wolverines struggled against a tough Texas Longhorns defense, falling 31-12 in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Warren completed 22 of 33 passes for 204 yards, threw a touchdown when the game was already decided and finished with two interceptions, which the Longhorns turned into 10 points.
Despite the tough game, Warren’s girlfriend, Julia Heilman, supported her boyfriend's team and enjoyed the Ann Arbor weekend. She shared snaps on Instagram, sporting a bright yellow Wolverines jersey and matching hat. Julia had a good time soaking in the atmosphere with friends:
Although Warren did find his rhythm late in the game, throwing for 131 yards in the fourth quarter, it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. Michigan's offense struggled heavily against Steve Sarkisian’s men, managing only 88 total yards in the first half.
It’s a tough job being Michigan’s QB1, especially when filling the shoes of J.J. McCarthy. Warren will look to bounce back in Week 3 against the Arkansas Red State Wolves on Saturday with his girlfriend’s support on his side.

Davis Warren warrants improvement after Texas' loss
Although the starter did not find his momentum until the fourth quarter, Warren made some great plays similar to the ones that won him the QB1 job over Alex Orji. However, unsatisfied with his performance, he said:
"I think we need to be better, I need to be better at that [going through progression] in just taking what the defense gives me, and when the opportunity presents itself down the field in making the throw. Texas gave us some opportunities, and we didn’t capitalize. It falls on me to go through my progressions and make the right plays." (H/T Sports Illustrated)
Coach Sherrone Moore noted that the interceptions weren’t entirely his fault. Michigan is sticking with Davis Warren as QB1 for now, as Moore believes in his potential.
