Since they arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007, the Sabans have donated millions of dollars to charities across Alabama. The former Alabama coach said that this day remains one of his favorites every year.

"Today is all about the kids and how we can help people in our community have a better quality of life. I am really happy and proud of all the people that have supported Nick’s Kids through the years,” he said.
“I am especially appreciative of Miss Terry for her time and effort of trying to help as many people as she can in our community."

This year, the foundation's projects also included the Saban Center. This innovative initiative is designed to enhance education by integrating STEM programs and the arts in Tuscaloosa.

The highly anticipated Saban Center in Tuscaloosa is set to open its doors in June 2027. The initiative, led by retired Alabama coach Nick Saban and his wife, Terry, is designed to revolutionize education for children.

According to Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, the Saban Center promises to be a first-of-its-kind facility. It will focus on science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Construction is slated to begin in April 2025, following the completion of the design phase in February.

Terry Saban emphasized the center's mission in a video message, saying:

“It will be a place that prepares students, educators, and the future workforce of Alabama, creating opportunities for young people in Tuscaloosa and beyond."

The Saban Center is set to become a cornerstone of education in the region. It aims to prepare Alabama's future workforce by providing interactive learning opportunities.
