Why did Terrance Ferguson return to Oregon amidst NFL talks?
The Oregon TE had a tough decision to make during the college football offseason. Ferguson was expected to declare for the NFL draft, but he opted to return for his senior year.
"I had my biggest dream ahead of me of going to the NFL; I think that will always be there," Ferguson said (per OregonLive). There’s still stuff left on the table here before I need to move up to the next level."
“I wanted to win something here that meant something,” he explained. “I wanted to be a part of something special, and with coach (Dan) Lanning and my (position) coach (Drew Mehringer), it’s special.
Last season, Ferguson registered career-high stats with 42 receptions for 414 yards and six touchdowns. It was one of the best seasons ever for a Ducks tight end, and he’s aiming to top that this fall.
