Miller Moss comes out of Caleb Williams' shadow at Big Ten media days
It’s finally time for Miller Moss to show his potential as he gets ready to shine as USC's starting quarterback, stepping out from behind Caleb Williams' shadow.
After spending three seasons as a backup, Moss is eager to prove himself on the big stage. At Big Ten Media Days, Moss told reporters about his dedication:
"I have a tremendous appreciation for the university and the people I work with each and every day," Moss shared. "It's a tremendous honor to play quarterback for Coach Riley... I had certain goals at USC and I wanted to see those through until I couldn't anymore."
The last three years would have been tough for Moss who faced tough competition from Jaxson Dart in his first year and then Caleb Williams for the other two.
"It was extremely frustrating not playing," Moss admitted. "I would be lying if I said that wasn't the case, but I tried to have some foresight in doing so."
Now entering his fourth season in Los Angeles, Moss has a chance to make the opportunity count. He has appeared in a dozen games for Lincoln Riley’s team, recording 542 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception with a 74.6% completion rate on 59 attempts.
