Indiana vs. Michigan State: Game Summary
After forcing a punt, the Spartans mustered a field goal to cap off an eight-play, 52-yard drive on their opening series of the game, taking a 3-0 lead over Indiana. On their second drive, Michigan State marched down the field on the back of a 13-play, 71-yard drive to take a 10-0 lead following an 18-yard touchdown scamper from Aiden Chiles.
The Hoosiers responded on their third drive of the game after two straight punts, scoring a touchdown to finish a seven-play, 75-yard drive to lower the margin to 10-7 with 14 minutes remaining in the first half.
Indiana's defense continued their strong play with two interceptions and a forced punt on their next three drives and the offense capitalized, leading back-to-back touchdown drives to build a 21-10 going into halftime.
The third quarter was all Indiana, as the Hoosiers held the Spartans scoreless while they proceeded to post a 12-point quarter with a touchdown, field goal and safety.
Indiana forced a safety on Michigan State’s opening drive of the second half and capitalized with a six-play, 65-yard drive capped off by an 18-yard passing touchdown to Myles Price.
