Is Arch Manning in EA Sports College Football 25? Taking a closer look at Texas QB's decision
Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is one notable player of interest from the over 14,000 players who officially opted into EA Sports using their name, image and likeness for EA Sports College Football 25.
Players were given $600 as well as a free copy of EA Sports College Football 25 as payment for their likenesses to be in the first college football video game since 2014. But will players be able to play with one of the most famous college football players in the nation?
Is Arch Manning in EA Sports College Football 25?
With the help of his uncle Eli, Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning announced he will be part of the roster for EA Sports College Football 25.
It is being reported by On3 Sports that Arch is getting paid between $50,000-$60,000 to promote EA Sports College Football 25. This comes as a bit of a surprise as he went on record saying that he was not going to accept any NIL deals until he became the starting quarterback for the team.
However, Quinn Ewers announced that he was returning to the program in lieu of the 2024 NFL draft, so it is expected that Manning will remain the backup.
Will Arch Manning become the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns this season?
It is very unlikely that Arch Manning will become the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns in 2024. However, he should be able to climb up the depth chart for the program as Maalik Murphy, the Longhorns' backup quarterback last season, transferred to the Duke Blue Devils.
While there may be some instances that Manning gets on the field, the only way he will be the starting quarterback is if Quinn Ewers suffers an injury or the Longhorns miss the College Football Playoff and Ewers decides to sit out the bowl game. If both men are healthy, do not expect to see Manning as the starting quarterback until 2025.
