Is Travis Hunter not attending Big 12 media days 2024? Latest update on Colorado two-way star at Las Vegas event

Wednesday afternoon will see the Big 12 Media Days continuing. One of the teams set to interact with the media today are the Colorado Buffaloes.

Travis Hunter, Sheduer Sanders, Shilo Sanders and Mark Vassett are the four players who are expected to represent the program, alongside coach Deion Sanders. However, Adam Munsterteiger of Buff Stampede posted on X that Hunter was not seen at the event.

There is no known reason as to why Travis Hunter was not seen. It will surely be one of the first things addressed when the Colorado Buffaloes kick off the event at 11:00 AM PT.

What does Travis Hunter not being present at Big 12 Media Days mean?

There could be a simple reason why Travis Hunter is not going to be at the Big 12 Media Days.

It will be interesting to hear how in-depth Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders goes into the situation. It is an interesting look as EA Sports College Football 25 has a promotional setup at the Big 12 Media Days, and the one cover athlete from the Big 12 will not be in attendance.

What should people expect out of Travis Hunter this season?

Travis Hunter had a solid season last year as a two-way player in a power conference.

He finished with 31 total tackles, five pass deflections and three interceptions while adding 57 receptions for 721 yards (12.6 yards per catch) with five receiving touchdowns. He was forced to battle a lacerated spleen and missed multiple weeks also.

However, with the ability to understand how the game will be at this level and a clean bill of health, expect to see Hunter dominate this season. The Colorado Buffaloes are much improved.

With the added incentive for Hunter to improve his draft stock, he should have more of an impact on both sides of the football this season.
