"It's draining... leave me alone": Travis Hunter wants haters to stop throwing dirt at his fiancée Leanna Lenee amid recent controversy
Travis Hunter, the Heisman-winning two-way star, and his fiancee Leanna Lenee have been part of controversies for the last few days. Just after the Heisman ceremony, a clip went viral of Leanna not standing up immediately to celebrate Hunter's Heisman win until nudged by Coach Prime. Since then multiple clips of her actions went viral online.
She was on the receiving end of hate from netizens so much that she had to upload an 8-minute video on TikTok to explain herself and all the clips. Some fans supported her while the majority refused to believe her words. Travis Hunter has addressed this issue multiple times online, defending his fiancee.
When the rapper Bow Wow chimed in last week to warn Hunter about Lenee, Hunter went online and expressed how all this hate has been an exhausting experience for him. He said:
"They want me to be unhappy. They don't want me to be in a relationship. So I thought that out and I'm not gonna lie, the comments and the people, the hatred that I'm getting is draining. It's draining for sure."
"Like every time I get on my phone, it's something new and they line it up. Every time it's something new with somebody talking about it and we are just a topic right now. It's draining." He added.
Travis went on to question why he would break up with his fiancee because the internet wants him to, even though they don't know the two of them personally.
"It's draining because everybody's always got something to say. Like bro, just leave me alone, bro. Let me be me. I've been with my girl for five years. All of a sudden, this year, y'all want to say something? Leave me alone." He further added.
