"It's so f**king fraudulent": CFB world drags ESPN & Deion Sanders through the mud as Travis Hunter leads Ashton Jeanty in Heisman race
Ashton Jeanty gave a historic performance on the weekend, however, bookies still prefer Travis Hunter in the race for the Heisman Trophy. Jeanty ran for 169 yards, with one touchdown in 19 carries in the Boise State Broncos' 17-13 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys.
However, it's not like Hunter was quiet during the weekend either, recording 125 receiving yards with two touchdown catches in eight receptions while also playing 79 snaps in defense. The Colorado Buffaloes did however lose the game against Kansas 37-21.
Some fans were angry that the oddsmakers still prefer Travis Hunter, despite Jeanty's historic performance and Colorado's defeat:
"Its is a popularity contest now and ESPN sucks on Deions d*ck. It’s so fu**ing fraudulent."
Other fans disagreed with the idea that Ashton Jeanty's leading performances in 2024 are historic:
"Jeanty PR has to be studied for generations. Jeanty isn’t even having a top 5 rushing performance in the last decade. A lot of these other rushing performances happened in power conferences too. Jeanty will be a finalist, but he’s not some historic snub if Hunter wins."
One fan claimed that Jeanty's performance didn't matter because they almost lost to Wyoming:
"Against fu**ing Wyoming who almost beat them BFFR."
Another fan pointed out that key players shine on most win games:
"Hunter had a great game (really great), but his team lost a must-win game. Jeanty (hurt) puts up those numbers and leads a game-winning drive in their must-win game. I feel like winning is more significant. Vegas disagrees."
It seems that fans in general are on Ashton Jeanty's side:
