"It wouldn't shock me": CFB insider makes eye-catching remark on Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward's NFL future

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders won the 2024 Johnny Unitas Award. He is one of the best quarterbacks in college football, alongside Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward. Both of these players are projected as top picks in the 2025 NFL draft.

The Athletic and FOX reporter Bruce Feldman shared his perspective on Sander's chance of being the No. 1 overall pick on "The Rich Eisen Show":

"I think right now, he's probably the one that people have the most confidence in as a quarterback. It's him and Cam Ward. I don't know if anybody looks at them and say, hey, they are first pick of the draft guys," Feldman said.

"Those are the two guys people look and go, Okay, I don't know if they're a top 10 pick value wise, but it wouldn't shock me if either one went in the top three," he added.

Shedeur Sanders (78.3) currently ranks No. 16 among QBR leaders while Cam Ward (88.1) ranks No. 1. Ward finished this season with 4,123 yards and 36 touchdowns in 435 attempts. He took Miami to No. 13 in the playoff rankings, missing the top 12 due to a 42-38 loss against the Syracuse Orange. Miami has the Pop-Tarts Bowl coming up against the Iowa State Cyclones on Dec. 28.

Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders took Colorado to No. 23 in the playoff rankings registering 3,926 yards and 35 touchdowns in 454 attempts. The Buffaloes finished 9-3 this season coming from a 1-11 season in 2022. Colorado has the Alamo Bowl coming up against the BYU Cougars on the same day.

Shedeur Sanders will be No. 1 pick in 2025 NFL draft 2025 according to Coach Prime

Deion Sanders said recently that Shedeur Sanders is going to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

"Shedeur is going to be the No. 1 pick," Sanders said on 'The Pacman Jones Show'.

As per most projections, the New York Giants are favored to have the first pick. Rumors were flying around that Coach Prime would not be letting his son join the Giants which he squashed by posting on X/Twitter:

"A Lie don’t care who tells it. Please stop trying to become relevant by misrepresenting my son. God bless you."

With the draft four months away now, it remains to be seen how the dynamic changes after the playoffs.
