“It was a sick experience”: Texas QB Quinn Ewers looks back at moment when WWE icon The Undertaker presented him Big 12 championship belt
Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers had a moment to remember following their Big 12 Championship win. Ewers rocked the big stage with an impressive performance in Texas' 49-21 victory over Oklahoma State.
The 21-year-old quarterback from San Antonia recorded 35 of 46 passes, completing 452 yards with four touchdowns and only one interception to his name. This outing earned him the Most Outstanding Player award.
However, the highlight for Ewers came when WWE icon The Undertaker presented him with a championship belt. Appearing on the "RG3 and The Ones" podcast with host Robert Griffin III, Ewers recounted the surreal experience. Griffin, a former NFL quarterback, asked Ewers if he was a wrestling fan growing up.
"I really wasn't but obviously I know who The Undertaker is. It was a sick experience, I mean, coming off the game that the team just had and to get up on the stage with Sark and The Undertaker, it's going to be a hard moment to beat for sure," Ewers shared. [13:04]
The QB explained how he tried to soak the experience in the moment. While the Longhorns fell short of their ultimate aim- the national championship, the 2023 CFB season was one for the ages for Ewers.

Quinn Ewers backs Arch Manning for football success
The Arch Manning conundrum of the Texas Longhorns is not something that’ll subside quickly. However, Quinn Ewers, Texas’ QB1, is fully backing his backup for gridiron success.
Manning will enter his second season as the backup quarterback at the University of Texas. In his interview on "RG3 and The Ones" with Robert Griffin III, Ewers opined that a gradual transition will help Manning adjust to his new environment.
"Coming from out of state, it's a different experience," Ewers said. "This time gives him the opportunity to build a strong connection with the university. Watching and learning from the sidelines provides a unique perspective that playing right away can't offer."
Quinn Ewers is confident that another season as a backup will better equip Arch Manning to take on the QB1 role when the time comes.
"It's an ideal situation for him to grow and prepare," Ewers added.
The 19-year-old arrived in Austin in 2023 with immense hype as the grandson of Archie Manning and nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.
