Jamaal Jarrett Transfer Portal: 5 landing spots for Georgia DL ft. USCĀ

Jamaal Jarrett joined the Georgia Bulldogs as a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in 16 games across two seasons with the program, recording nine total tackles, four of which were solo tackles.

He revealed his intention to enter the transfer portal with Rivals' Adam Friedman, with the publication's official transfer portal page posting on X/Twitter:

"Georgia DT Jamaal "Jah" Jarrett tells @RivalsFriedman that he is entering the transfer portal The former top 100 prospect will have 3 years of eligibility remaining"

Check out the tweet from Rivals below:

Here's a closer look at five potential landing spots for Jarrett via the transfer portal.

5 potential Jamaal Jarrett landing spots

#1. USC Trojans

Jamaal Jarrett is reportedly set to visit the USC Trojans later this week. The Trojans could be aggressive in attempting to bring in the former Bulldogs defensive lineman, as they were with Bear Alexander two years ago.

#2. Arkansas Razorbacks

The Arkansas Razorbacks beat USC to the punch as they brought Jamaal Jarrett in for a visit on Tuesday. He had nothing but positive things to say after the visit and has familiarity with the staff as they recruited him coming out of high school.

#3. Colorado Buffaloes

While many expected the 2024 season to be Deion Sanders' last with the Colorado Buffaloes, that does not appear to be the case. Although his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, and Travis Hunter, will not be back in 2025, it appears "Coach Prime" is likely to turn. Look for the Buffaloes to remain aggressive via the transfer portal. They could target Jamaal Jarrett to join a defense that took a major step in the right direction in 2024.

#4. Auburn Tigers

The Auburn Tigers were one of three teams to hold an official visit with Jamaal Jarrett coming out of high school. While he ultimately wound up joining the Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn's staff has plenty of familiarity with the defensive lineman. They could present him with an opportunity to remain in the SEC while receiving much more playing time than he did on his previous team.

#5. North Carolina Tar Heels

The North Carolina Tar Heels were the other program that held an official visit with Jamaal Jarrett coming out of high school. Bill Belichick is now in charge of the program and will likely use the transfer portal to build the team's roster. Jarrett, who is from North Carolina, could look to return home to play for one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
