Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss Rebels program has been preparing for the 2024 season in right earnest. After their 11-win season last year, the Rebels are hoping that the upcoming season will bring the same amount of success.

These high intensity practices are a common sight in college football. However, what that Rebels players have been doing are more than just workouts to get the players ready for a tough schedule for Ole Miss.

The Rebels have been described as having 'won' the off-season transfer portal, due to the high number of strong transfers into the school that Lane Kiffin made. These additions were mostly made in the defense, which is an area that Ole Miss has struggled in the last few years.

These workouts were able to bring these new arrivals into the team and act in a way as a form of team bonding. This will only strengthen the team and increase their chances of repeating the 11-win season for last year.

What has Lane Kiffin said about the Ole Miss Rebels roster?

Speaking about the roster, head coach Lane Kiffin told the SEC Spring Meeting:

"This is definitely the best roster, I don't know if it'll be the best team. There's a lot to be figured out with that. Some of the significant players we have were out for spring, so we'll have a lot of work to do to bring them together to be the best team.
A couple years ago, we won 10 regular season games and last year, won 11 total games, most in school history. I do think the roster is better than that, but that's a lot of work to do to be a better team."

This roster contains the likes of quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receivers Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins. These players were key parts of the Rebels' success on offense last season, and they will be wanting to repeat their performances for the Rebels in 2024.

The team will also be joined by some of the team's new arrivals. These include former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Trey Amos and former Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Chris 'Pooh' Paul.

They are both highly talented players who can easily use their SEC experience to slide into the Rebels' defense.

Do you agree with Lane Kiffin that the Ole Miss roster for 2024 is one of the best?
