Travis Hunter's fiancée, Leanna Lenee, got a taste of his playful side after Coach Prime gave Travis a shout-out on Instagram. Deion Sanders shared a game-day photo of Hunter on Tuesday, capturing him kneeling in prayer before the game against the Arizona Wildcats.

Hunter couldn't help but express his excitement about getting featured in his mentor's social media post, commenting:

"Yes I got my own post 😂"

The fun didn't stop there! Leanna dropped a heart emoji in the comments, which further led Hunter to tease her playfully with:

“@leannalenee u ain’t get posted. Couldn’t be me 😂.”

However, Leanna wasn't having any of it and fired back, saying:

“@db3_tip 😂😂😂😂😂😂 why are you bothering me? Leave me alone!”

While this playful exchange reflects the couple's incredible chemistry, Travis' bond with his head coach is quite endearing as well.

Travis Hunter Followed Deion Sanders to Colorado

Travis Hunter has quickly emerged as a standout player for the Colorado Buffaloes, and his bond with head coach Deion Sanders is nothing short of special. Their connection goes back to their days at Jackson State, where Coach Prime played a pivotal role in mentoring him.

When Deion took the helm at Colorado, Travis wasted no time following him to a program that was struggling. The Buffaloes are now enjoying an incredible season with a 5-2 record, which has a lot to do with Hunter’s impact.

In his first year with the Buffs last season, Travis Hunter put up impressive numbers, recording 57 receptions for 721 yards and scoring five touchdowns. On defense, as a cornerback, he made 30 tackles, intercepted three passes, and defended five more over nine games.

Heading into the 2024 season, he was a favorite for the Heisman and aimed to turn around Colorado’s 4-8 record from the previous year.

This season, in just seven games, Travis has already tallied 51 receptions for 604 yards and six touchdowns. Unfortunately, his last two outings have been affected by a shoulder injury that he sustained against Kansas State in Week 7, which took a turn for the worse in Week 8 against the Arizona Wildcats. It forced him to sit out the second half.

However, Coach Prime confirmed on Tuesday that Travis Hunter will play in the Buffaloes' next game against Cincinnati. With two losses already, the Buffaloes can’t afford any more if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. As they look ahead, Deion Sanders needs his star player back to full strength for the remaining five games.
