"Lord have mercy on rest of college football" - Insider fires bold LaNorris Sellers warning ahead of South Carolina's season

LaNorris Sellers will enter his third year at South Carolina in the 2025 campaign, and there are high expectations for the quarterback. On3 analyst J.D. PicKell is bullish on him delivering the goods for the Gamecocks.

On Sunday, Pickell explained why fans need to take notice of Sellers heading into next season.

"Look at my guy just spinning the pill like a shady pharmacist," PicKell said. "That throw right there, if he makes that throw consistently, lord have mercy on the rest of college football.
"One, this is sick. This is just cool to see your dude throwing it around. I know there's no defense, I know he's just taking a drop with a fake rush, I understand that, so this is cool, it's good for vibes."

PicKell added that South Carolina fans have a lot to look forward to if Sellers can continue his upward trajectory.

"But if he makes throws like we saw him make throws in that very first clip, and he's able to consistently make routine throws as well as the big time throws, that's what you fear if you're the rest of college football," PicKell said.
"And that's what gives you hope, optimism and potentially booking some college football playoff tickets if you're a South Carolina fan."

Sellers committed to the Gamecocks in 2023. He got the starting role in 2024 and recorded 2,520 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Sellers also added seven rushing touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see if he can improve on those numbers next season.

LaNorris Sellers was reportedly offered an $8 million NIL deal from an unnamed school to transfer this offseason. However, the quarterback rejected it to remain at South Carolina.

Sellers reportedly signed a NIL offer with the Gamecocks on Dec. 24. However, the details of the contract were not made made public.

Sellers led South Carolina to a 9-4 (5-3) record last season and was named the SEC Freshman of the Year. The Gamecocks are optimistic that he can lead them to the College Football Playoff next season.
