"Lord we thank you": Deion Sanders stays true to his Christian tradition as he prays for Deiondra & Baby Que amid anti-religious group's protest

Colorado coach Deion Sanders offered a touching prayer for his daughter Deiondra Sanders and her family at Folsom Field. Coach Prime, who is a devout Christian, shared a heartwarming moment with his eldest daughter at the stadium while his eldest son Deion Sanders Jr. filmed the father-daughter bond.

In the Instagram video that was posted on Coach Prime's account on Thursday, Deion and Deiondra have their backs turned to the camera, with the picturesque Boulder mountains in the backdrop, while overlooking the Folsom Field arena.

"Lord, we thank you, Lord, we love you," Sanders said. "Thank you for Deiondra and her motherhood journey, thank you for Baby Que, thank you for all that he’s going to be all that he could be."

Sanders also made sure to remember Deiondra’s fiancé, Jacquees, in his thankful message.

"Guard him and protect him in all his ways come to and protect his family in Jesus' name,” Sanders said.

While Sanders has been facing criticism from the Freedom From Religion Foundation for promoting Christianity in his Colorado program, it appears that Coach Prime is not holding back in professing his faith.

Deion Sanders' grandson Snow shares his birthday with Coach Prime

Deion Sanders was born on Aug. 9, 1967, and his first grandson, Snow, was born exactly 57 years later. Deiondra and Jacquees welcomed Snow on Aug. 9 this year, and the couple often shares pictures of their young one on social media.

Earlier this week, even Sanders flaunted his affection for Snow on Instagram while holding him closely. Coach Prime also shared a hilarious incident with his grandson in the caption.

Sanders, who is in his second year coaching Colorado, has led the program to a 6-2 record thus far. The Buffaloes are also the No. 23-ranked team in the country by the AP Poll.
