"Love this take from Deion Sanders": Jason Whitlock surprisingly concurs with Coach Prime's proposition of Shedeur Sanders' move to Miami

Deion Sanders is drawing attention after proposing the Miami Dolphins select his son, Shedeur Sanders, in the 2025 NFL Draft following the injury to Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa's health is being called into question after the quarterback suffered his third concussion in two seasons on September 12 against the Buffalo Bills.

In an appearance on "Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson" on Sunday, September 29, Sanders questioned Miami's quarterback situation. Sanders also questioned the priority of Tua Tagovailoa's health and offered a solution to both questions: Shedeur Sanders.

"What do you do business-wise if you're the Dolphins? Do you go into the draft and take a quarterback, which is what I'm saying," Sanders said, referring to his son. "Or do you say, 'Tua, let's check this out. Let's see what we're going to do.' Is his health more important than that?"

Jason Whitlock agreed with Deion Sanders, discussing Coach Prime's argument on Saturday's episode of Fearless, his show on BlazeTV.

"I actually think it's a good take. I actually think that, you know, [Shedeur Sanders] with those speedy receivers, Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, that's kind of what he's got at Colorado. I kind of love this take by Deion."

Whitlock's agreement is surprising, given the analyst's previous harsh criticisms of Deion Sanders and the Colorado football program under his leadership.

Shedeur Sanders meets up with Raiders owner

Shedeur Sanders was part of a star-studded crowd that attended the Las Vegas Aces' matchup versus the New York Liberty in the WNBA playoffs on Friday, October 4. After the game, Sanders met up with Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis.

The two shook hands at half-court, and Davis had a prediction of his own on Sanders' NFL future.

"Who knows? You might be home right now," Davis said to Sanders, looking to entice the Heisman Trophy candidate during his trip to Las Vegas.

Sanders has been linked to the Raiders in numerous NFL mock drafts thus far and appears to be on the team's radar judging by his interaction with Davis.

Shedeur Sanders appears to be a lock for a first-round selection, barring serious injury and is one of the top quarterbacks in college football this season.

Through five games, Sanders has completed 70.1% of his passes, throwing for 1,630 yards and 14 touchdowns with three interceptions.
