Emma Kelley, the daughter of former gymnast Mary Lou Retton and Arkansas Razorbacks LB Hudson Clark, shared a joint Instagram post where they announced their engagement.
The couple shared a series of pictures where Emma could be seen showing off her emerald-cut, solitaire diamond engagement ring. Kelley and Clark's heartfelt moments in a gazebo were also captured in the snaps. Family, friends and fans left congratulatory comments under the post.
The caption of the post was:
"WE'RE ENGAGED!! Couldn't be more excited and ready to walk God's path together!! My partner for life, I love you 💍💍🤍 Let's do this life together!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼"
The star gymnast of the LSU Tigers, Livvy Dunne, could not stop herself from writing a comment for the couple.
"This is so cute 😭🫶🏼 congratulations!" Dunne wrote.
"yayyy so happy for you guys❤️," Olympics silver medalist Grace McCallum commented.
"So excited for you two and Princess!!" Clark's teammate and Arkansas QB, Cade Fortin wrote.
Emma Kelley and Hudson Clark met while attending the University of Arkansas. Emma competed with the school's gymnast squad at Arkansas, while her fiance amassed many accolades like the 2023 First-Team Academic All-American honor.
Emma Kelley's family has more to celebrate after her mother's recovery from a health issue
Emma is Mary Lou Retton's youngest child. Her three other daughters are Shayla, 29, McKenna, 27 and Skyla, 23. In May, Shayla revealed that Skyla was expecting a child. The pictures were also uploaded to celebrate Emma Kelley's graduation ceremony.
"The best weekend celebrating my baby sister’s graduation ! [Emma Kelley] we are SO proud of you and can’t wait to see you crush it in adulthood ! WPS!!! 🩷"
Last year, Retton suffered from serious medical troubles and was in the ICU because of contracting a rare form of pneumonia. Though she healed from her medical struggles, Retton said that she had a "bit of a relapse" but was "back" on track in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last month.
Retton said about her daughters.
"They inspire me, and they do every day," Retton said. "They're extraordinary young women and my biggest accomplishment. Take my five medals. I'll take my daughters over that anytime."
Emma Kelley, along with her sisters, is still supporting her mother while enjoying her life as a college student.
