"Make it really hard for Deion Sanders to say no": Adam Schefter offers wild theory despite Coach Prime's firm NFL stance
Deion Sanders has the Colorado Buffaloes within striking distance of their first College Football Playoff appearance in program history. With two winnable games remaining on their schedule, they are 8-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play in their first season of Big 12 action since 2010.
While the Buffaloes are on the outside looking in – ranked No. 16 in the latest rendition of the College Football Playoff rankings – they control their path to the postseason. Coach Prime's success, combined with the pending departures of his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter, has led to speculation that the Pro and College Football Hall of Famer could join the NFL ranks from next season.
Despite Sanders' claim that he is happy to stay at Colorado, Adam Schefter believes there could be an owner who makes an offer that is difficult to turn down. Speaking on ESPN's "Get Up", the NFL insider said:
"Deion Sanders knows football and is a big draw. And while he may have his kickstand down in Colorado, there may be an owner out there thinking, 'With all this money coming in through the collective bargaining agreement, with all the money coming in through gambling, with all the added revenue streams in the National Football League, I want to bring a name with football knowledge who would be an asset to the guys in my locker room and I'm going to make it really hard for Deion Sanders to say no'."

There have been rumblings that Sanders could make the move to the NFL. It is unclear what it would take to convince him to leave the Buffaloes, however, that is likely not his focus as the team has plenty to play for over the final two weeks of the regular season.
What did Deion Sanders say about rumors of leaving Colorado Buffaloes?
Deion Sanders figures to be among the most coveted coaches in the next NFL head coach hiring cycle. He recently shared that he has no plans to leave when asked about the rumors:
"I'm happy where I am, man," Sanders said via ESPN.com. "I've got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is?... That means I'm resting. I'm good, I'm happy, I'm excited. I'm enthusiastic about where I am. I love it here, truly do."
Sanders has the Buffaloes on the cusp of their first College Football Playoff appearance. Their +100 odds to reach the postseason are the best in the Big 12. If they can win their final two regular season games and win the Big 12 Championship Game, Colorado will be among the 12-team field to reach the postseason.
