"Mannings are a master class in marketing. This is insane": CFB world reacts to Arch Manning's EA Sports CFB 25 decision
Arch Manning was one of the most notable players who opted not to have his name and likenesses included in EA Sports College Football 25. However, in a surprise turn of events, college football fans can now play as the Texas Longhorns star in the game.
The announcement was made in a video that features Arch and his uncle, former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.
Fans had mixed reactions to this announcement. Some were happy to see Arch Manning back in the game.
"Now you decided to be in the game, @ArchManning!!! Good thinking!!!!" one fan tweeted on X.
"The Mannings are a master class in marketing. This is insane," another fan tweeted.
Some weren't happy to see Manning back in the game, especially after he had said that he was opting out to "focus on football."
"Thank you Arch for focusing on football up until the week the game releases," a fan tweeted.
"Damn guess he's done focusing on football," another fan tweeted.
Some fans expressed surprise at seeing the backup quarterback who has played only a few snaps for the Texas Longhorns getting attention for this announcement.

Arch Manning in 2024: Will he play?
While fans can play as Arch Manning in College Football 25, the real Arch Manning may not see a lot of football this year.
This is because Manning is due to spend another season on the bench behind Quinn Ewers at the Texas Longhorns. While some might say this will hinder his career, Manning knows he could become the new starter for Texas in 2025.
By having one more season on the bench, with the occasional snap, he will be learning from one of the best current players to fine-tune his game. It will also ease his transition to the starting role next season.
