Michigan HC Sherrone Moore gives insight into his heartfelt conversation with Jim Harbaugh: "He's just waiting to be counted on"

Sherrone Moore, the newest head coach of the Michigan Wolverines, is expected to be the one to take the team to another national championship. But there are many fans who are used to the coaching style of Jim Harbaugh and it seems like taking a leaf out of the former Wolverines coach's playbook would not be a problem for Moore.

That is because the two head coaches keep in touch with each other and are always available to help the football program reach its greatest heights.

Moore said, at the Big Ten Media Days on Thursday:

"I just talked to him about two days ago and just continue to say to you, because it was working and it continues to work. So for me, he just, he's, he's always himself. He's always gonna just go and tell me the truth and I'll talk to him as often as possible. And he told me, you know, his phone's there and he's just waiting, waiting to be counted on so I'm excited to call them again soon."

Sherrone Moore plans to "win it all" in the upcoming season

Sherrone Moore joined the Michigan Wolverines program in 2018, he was sure that he would continue the winning attitude that Harbaugh set for the team even though he was only a TE coach at the time. He was hired as a head coach of the team on January 26, 2024, after Harbaugh moved to Los Angeles to become the HC of the Chargers.

Though this will be the first year as the head of the team, he has led the Wolverines to several wins as acting head coach in 2023. Thus making him a deserving candidate for the role.

When at the 2024 Big Ten Media Days, the HC said that he wants to continue the winning culture Harbaugh has developed.

"We're not going to stray away from the goal of trying to win it all," Moore said, as per ESPN. "When you're at Michigan, that should be your goal every single year."

Even though the former head coach of Michigan has moved to the pros, his principles are still respected. Sherrone Moore now has the responsibility of replacing 17 out of 22 starters from last year.
