Michigan vs. Illinois Game Summary
The offenses were not doing too much in this game for either side as both the Michigan Wolverines and the Illinois Fighting Illini were fighting to keep possessions alive. For the Wolverines, Jack Tuttle looked a lot better under center than we have seen out of Alex Orji or Davis Warren so far this season.
However, the story of the game is the three turnovers as Tuttle turned the ball over twice (one interception, one lost fumble) while also fumbling another time but the team regained possession.
The Fighting Illini were able to run the ball effectively as a team as they were able to run for 187 yards on 38 rushing attempts (4.9 yards per carry) to really get the offense going.
The passing game, led by QB Luke Altmyer, completed just 9 of 18 passes for 80 yards, but he did have two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) as well as 48 rushing yards. That was enough to win the game as the Illini continue to look sharp as a program.
