Miss Terry couldn't believe Nick Saban's pick ahead of UCF-Colorado showdown: "Against our good friend Deion"

Miss Terry, wife of former Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, has become synonymous with college football in a way that most coaches' wives have not achieved. Even after Saban retired in January, his wife has continued to be in the limelight accompanying him in his role as an analyst for ESPN's "College GameDay."

Week 5's titanic clash pitted Kalen DeBoer's Crimson Tide against coach Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs in Tuscaloosa. Miss Terry was chosen to be the guest picker on the show that set up base at the Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Nick Saban's pick for the Colorado Buffaloes-UCF Knights game did not sit well with his wife. Saban picked the Knights to win the clash, which was ultimately won by the Buffs 48-21. The Sabans and Colorado coach Deion Sanders share a close friendship, which is why the pick surprised Terry Saban.

"Against our good friend Deion (Sanders)," Ms. Terry said. "Really? He texted you this week and said what a great job you were doing... I got your back, Deion. Colorado!"

During the announcement of her status as College GameDay's guest picker, Miss Terry hilariously revealed that her husband kept trying to sneak a peek at her picks.

"I've already been working on my picks, and I think I'm going to beat Nick [Saban]," Terry Saban said. "I don't know why Nick is so worried about my picks. He keeps wanting to see them. He's just that way. He's very competitive about everything."

Nick Saban had a hilarious comeback to his wife's picks on the show.

"After 52 years (of marriage), I know if she wins this, it's going to cost me something," Saban said.

Miss Terry beats Nick Saban with her picks

In what proved to be a blockbuster weekend for college football with several huge matchups, Terry Saban proved to be spot-on with most of her picks. She even beat Nick Saban with her predictions.

Although the retired coach and his wife picked three games in common, Miss Terry won the overall prediction battle. She picked Notre Dame to beat Louisville, Colorado to beat UCF and North Carolina to beat Duke.

She proved her loyalty to Bama by picking the Crimson Tide to beat Kirby Smart's Georgia, the same as her husband.

"I talked to one of the mothers of one of the (Alabama) players," Terry Saban said. "She said her son said, 'We are confident and we are ready.'"

Miss Terry's cameo on College GameDay proved to be a popular one with the fans with her witty comebacks and accurate analysis. It would not be surprising to see her return in short order.
