“Money talks bullsh*t walks”: Fans react as CFB insider predicts Lane Kiffin would leave Ole Miss for Florida “in a heartbeat”

Lane Kiffin has had a lot of success with Ole Miss, and with that success come rumors that he would leave the Rebels for Florida. While Billy Napier still heads the Florida Gators, there are rumors he could be fired soon.

College football insider Josh Pate thinks that if offered, Lane Kiffin would leave Ole Miss for Florida. He said:

"In a heartbeat, Lane Kiffin would walk to Florida if they would give him a job."

This resulted in negative reactions from fans:

"Money talks bullsh*t walks," one fan commented.
"He doesn't want to say what I will: Ole Miss is a better program than UF. Lane is not leaving for UF," one fan wrote.
"Had respect for you bro but I no longer do. If you can't grasp current big picture I don't know what to tell ya but get out of the past," a fan added.

Other fans had issues with what Pate said. They commented on the fact that he misrepresented why Lane Kiffin chose to leave other programs like Tennessee and USC and had other information wrong about Kiffin's time with those programs:

"Tennessee didn't fire Lane. he left in the middle of the night for his dream job... the fact that he as a reporter mispsoke on that makes his whole argument dumb," one fan commented.
"I stopped listening to the second guy when he said lane was fired from Tennessee. He quit for USC," one fan wrote.
"He needs to at least get his information right. Tennessee wasn't a "flaming disaster" they won 9 games in his only year there almost beating an undefeated Alabama team and had them boys believing they were title bound wihtin 2 years. Come on man get your info right dude," one fan added.

Pate's podcast hosts pushed back against the idea that Lane Kiffin would leave Ole Miss

While Josh Pate is confident that if the Florida head coaching job was offered to Lane Kiffin, he would leave Ole Mis, not all of his podcast hosts agreed. Jake Crain pushed back and said:

"We actually disagree here and that's great. I think Lane is telling his agent, tell Florida I'm interested, tell everyone I'm interested because Ole Miss has money. I think it would take a lot for Lane to leave."

Cain implied that Kiffin will use offers from Florida and other teams to increase his salary at Ole Miss. He also talked about how he has had other big-name jobs before, like at USC and Tennessee, and they did not end well. So, Kiffin might prefer to stay in a smaller market like Ole Miss.
