"Need to be like 13 or 14": Nate Robinson dissatisfied with Coach Prime's son Shedeur Sanders' AP rankings after masterclass against Texas Tech

Shedeur Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes were rewarded for their impressive 41-27 win over Texas Tech with the No. 18 spot in the latest AP Poll. With that, they climbed three spots from their Week 11 ranking. The school itself celebrated the accomplishment by posting a photograph with the number "18" behind him, signifying its new status.

However, not everyone seems to agree with the writers of the Associated Press. A famous fan calling for a higher rating for the Buffs is NBA veteran and three-time Slam Dunk champion Nate Robinson. According to Robinson, Colorado should be ranked as high as No. 13.

That would put Coach Prime's team in the spots currently being occupied by the SMU Mustangs (14) or the Boise State Broncos (13). The big difference between those schools and the Buffaloes is they have one defeat while Colorado has two (7-2 vs. 8-1). That single defeat means that while the Mustangs and Broncos are CFP contenders at the moment, the Buffs still have some work to do.

Shedeur Sanders and the offense lead Colorado to victory

The Buffaloes started their game against the Red Raiders in bad form, being shut out 13-0 in the first quarter. From then on, the Buffs took command of the situation. In the second quarter, they came back into the game shutting out the Red Raiders 10-0. In the second half, they simply outpaced Texas Tech, scoring 21 and 10 points in the third and fourth quarters respectively. The Red Raiders could only score seven points in each quarter.

Sanders threw for 291 yards with three touchdown passes. He also ran for 16 yards and scored one rushing touchdown. Colorado's Heisman hopeful, Travis Hunter, also had an impressive game. Hunter recorded 99 receiving yards and scored one touchdown on nine receptions.
