Nic Anderson Transfer Portal: 5 landing spots for Oklahoma WR ft. USCĀ
Nic Anderson joined the Oklahoma Sooners as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 17 games during his three years with the program, hauling in 38 receptions for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns. All of that production came during the 2023 season as he spent the entire 2024 battling injury.
247 Sports' Matt Zenitz took to X/Twitter on Thursday to report that Anderson plans to enter the transfer portal:
"Oklahoma star wide receiver Nic Anderson is expected to enter the portal, sources tell @CBSSports / @247Sports . The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Anderson missed most of this season due to an injury but set an Oklahoma freshman record with 10 touchdown catches in 2023."

Here's a look at five potential landing spots for Nic Anderson via the transfer portal.
5 potential landing spots for Nic Anderson via transfer portal
#1. USC Trojans
The USC Trojans were among the biggest disappointments in 2024 as they finished the season with a 6-6 record that included a 4-5 mark in their first season of Big Ten play. They were one of five programs to have an official visit with Nic Anderson out of high school and could look to make another move for the wide receiver.
#2. Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks were another one of the five schools that held an official visit with Nic Anderson out of high school. He committed to the program before later flipping his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners. Oregon could offer him an opportunity to join a contender whose staff he has familiarity with.
#3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were another one of the finalists to land Nic Anderson. While they have been elite on both sides of the ball this season, they have not received much production from the wide receiver position. The Fighting Irish will likely be in the market for a proven commodity and could target the former Sooner.
#4. Penn State Nittany Lions
The Penn State Nittany Lions were the final team that held an official visit with Nic Anderson. While they have received more production from the wide receiver position than the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, they could use an upgrade at the position.
#5. Texas A&M Aggies
The Texas A&M Aggies did not have an official visit with Nic Anderson as he was coming out of high school. They can, however, offer him the opportunity to play close to home. Anderson played his high school football about an hour and a half away from Kyle Field and could look to return to his home state.
