“Nobody paid attention to me”: $3.4M NIL-valued Travis Hunter gets candid about tough journey growing up

Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Travis Hunter is undoubtedly the star of the team. His journey from being an unrecognized kid with big dreams to becoming a star with a $3.4 million NIL value (On3) has inspired many. The Colorado two-way star has embraced his status as a role model and made it his mission to give back to the kids who look up to him.

On Wednesday's episode of "The Travis Hunter Show," he dived into the motivation behind his dedication to young fans.

He said:

"I was once that little kid. Ain't nobody paid attention to me. I try to take my time out to meet all the kids. I like to have fun with them and make them happy. They gonna remember that forever."

Hunter often signs autographs and has conversations with young fans. His efforts to inspire and connect with the kids in his fanbase are one of the reasons he is among the most loved athletes in college football.

“Stop talking crazy bro”: Travis Hunter claps back at Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant

The No. 16 Colorado Buffaloes are all set for their upcoming game against the Kansas Jayhawks, and as one would expect, there’s been some smack talk.

On Wednesday, Kansas’ Cobee Bryant set things off by saying:

“I’m not going to lie. I’ve been waiting. I already marked this on my notes. I already know this is the game I’ve been wanting all season. Yeah, this is going to be the game.”

On Thursday, Travis Hunter heard about Bryant's statement during a live stream of his "Travis Hunter Show." He responded to the callout, saying:

“Let people talk bro ... If that makes him feel better … they know they’re gonna have to double team … stop talking crazy bro!”

With Kansas having beaten BYU last week, it'll be interesting to see if they can carry that momentum into this weekend and topple the 16th-ranked program in the nation.
