Notre Dame vs Miami RedHawks: Box score, stats and summary feat. Riley Leonard (Week 4)
The Miami RedHawks and the No. 17 Notre Dame Fighting Irish locked horns on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium. Riley Leonard was the starting quarterback for the Fighting Irish, while the RedHawks went with Brett Gabberts to make plays at center.
The Fighting Irish came into this game after crushing Purdue University 66-7 last week. On the other end, the RedHawks suffered a tough loss against the Cincinnati Bearcats last week.
Notre Dame entered this matchup as 27.5-point favorites over Miami of Ohio. They closely finished near what the oddsmakers thought, as excellent defense from Fighting Irish for most part of the game ensured the RedHawks could make only one field goal in the entire game. Of course, no touchdowns as Notre Dame won the game 28-3.

Notre Dame vs Miami RedHawks Game Summary
The RedHawks first offensive drive in the game ended with Brett Gabbert's pass being intercepted by Junior Tuihalamaka,, who returned for no gain at Notre Dame's four yard line. However, the entire first quarter saw both teams ending themselves in punting situation or getting behind on offense.
Miami (OH) drew first blood in the game with kicker Dom Dzibon making a successful 26-yard field goal. Riley Leonard got his offense going soon after, with him rushing for 8-yard rushing touchdown. He scored another touchdown after successful throwing a 38 yard pass in the endzone to Beaux Collins to get the Fighting Irish go into halftime leading 14-3.
In the third quarter, Notre Dame's secondary pushed Miami's offense down to the toilet. Three punts and a missed field goal opportunity meant that the RedHawks were unable to put anything across in the quarter. On the other end, the Fighting Irish added another score, this time Jeremiyah Love running for a 15-yard touchdown.
The story remained the same in the fourth quarter as well with Notre Dame doing well to chew time during their offensive drives. They added one more touchdown with Riley Leonard rushing for 50 yards to get to the endzone, giving his team a 28-3 lead.
The Fighting Irish would go on to sustain that lead, eventually winning the game 28-3.
