Ohio State takes a hilarious dig at Sherrone Moore's Michigan as the rivalry continues despite the two not facing each other
The No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes have added more fuel to their rivalry with the Michigan Wolverines. On Saturday afternoon, Ohio State had a dominant 45-0 win at home over the Purdue Boilermakers.
They controlled the game and had a 21-0 lead heading into halftime. Before the third quarter, the Buckeyes marching band took the opportunity to take a hilarious dig at Michigan.
Ohio State's matching band took the field during the break to entertain the crowd. One section of the band would form a bear, and the other would hold the Michigan logo. Another group would move toward the logo with the poop emoji to insinuate the bear defecating on the Michigan brand.
The Buckeyes (8-1, 5-1 Big Ten) came out of halftime to score 24 points to blow out the Boilermakers (1-8, 0-6) for their eighth win of the season.
Ohio State quarterback Will Howard ended the game with 21 of 26 passes completed for 260 yards and three touchdowns. One of the key targets for Howard was wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who had six receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown.
The Boilermakers couldn't build momentum in the game to compete against Ohio State's defense. Purdue quarterback Hudson Card completed 9 of 19 passes for 108 yards and one interception. The defeat marks Purdue's sixth consecutive loss this season.
The nasty dig towards Michigan (5-1, 3-3) puts pressure on Ohio State to defeat them in Week 14.
