"One coach that can dwarf Jerry Jones, Deion Sanders": Jason Whitlock rejects 3 coaches ft. Bill Belichick to endorse Coach Prime as Cowboys HC

The buzz surrounding Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders is at an all-time high. People have been speculating that he will look at NFL coaching jobs after finishing his second season with the Buffaloes. A big reason for the speculation has been that his son, Shedeur Sanders, and two-way star Travis Hunter are eligible for the 2025 draft, and Sanders could be a package deal.

While speaking on Tuesday's episode of his "Fearless" show, media personality Jason Whitlock explained how only Deion Sanders could dwarf Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones if he becomes their new coach. (From 11:19 onwards)

"The Cowboys need a coach who can dwarf Jerry Jones and there's only one coach that can dwarf Jerry Jones, Deion Sanders," Whitlock said. "I have to admit that Deion Sanders is the right man to become the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys."
"There's a bunch of other candidates that people are going to throw around and I've considered, thought about them, but none of them can do what Deion Sanders can do: he can make Jerry Jones less relevant."

While putting Coach Prime on the pedestal as he did, Whitlock explained that the other coaching candidates could not do that at the same level.

"Bill Belichick, can't do that. Jon Gruden, can't do that. Mike Vrabel, can't do that. Here's a guy that's a wild card that Jerry Jones talks about."

It will be interesting to see what Deion Sanders does next season, whether coaching the Colorado Buffaloes (8-2, 6-1 Big 12)for a third season or going elsewhere.

Do Colorado Buffaloes want Deion Sanders as coach in 2025?

It appears that, at least publicly, the No. 16-ranked Colorado Buffaloes want coach Deion Sanders to return to the program for next season and beyond. While speaking on the "Zero 2 Sixty" podcast, the University of Colorado athletic director Rick George said Deion Sanders is staying in Boulder.

"I think there's a lot of people out there that wanna say he's just jumping in Boulder and he's out of here, Deion's not going anywhere. The guy's committed here, he's just getting started."

A contract extension may seem to be in the works, which could put all this speculation to rest.
