Paul Finebaum makes bold prediction for $45M worth Deion Sanders’ future at Colorado

Paul Finebaum criticized Deion Sanders during his Wednesday Get Up appearance. Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes recently lost 28-10 to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Colorado received heavy flack for its Week 2 performance. Experts, fans and TV personalities panned Sanders' coaching decisions. In response, Sanders defended his choices to the media. Coach Prime said:

"I'm not lost. I'm not looking for my identity. We're trying to win. We're trying to get to the next level."

However, Finebaum remained skeptical about Sanders, while stating:

"It's the same story after every loss. He is really brilliant with the media. I'm not so sure he's brilliant as a head coach. I don't see any improvement from this team."

Paul Finebaum says Colorado and Deion Sanders are headed for a disintegration

Finebaum continued to discuss the issues facing Colorado and Deion Sanders. He said that at the start of the season, there was hope Colorado would make the CFP. Now, it might not even make a bowl game.

The ESPN analyst also spoke about Sanders' future in Colorado.

"This thing feels like it's heading for a disintegration. I wouldn't call it a divorce because, frankly, they (Colorado) need him (Sanders) more than he needs them, but at some point, I feel like Deion Sanders is going to say, 'I gotta get out of here and go someplace else.'"

Sanders is known for his prolific NFL career. He won the league's Defensive Player of the Year in 1994 and earned six All-Pro selections. He also succeeded during his first coaching stint at Jackson State from 2020 to 2022. However, his Colorado tenure is the first time he's publicly failed.
