Paul Finebaum has 'ultimate' punishment for Michigan coach: "He'd have to spend a Sunday afternoon at Verizon store waiting to get served"

Paul Finebaum suggested a hilarious yet brutal punishment for Michigan coach Sherrone Moore amid the Wolverines' latest sign-stealing scandal. Following the NCAA's leaked notice of allegations against former analyst Connor Stalions, Finebaum shared his thoughts on Monday's episode of Get Up.

When asked what punishment he'd give Moore, Finebaum quipped:

"I think the ultimate punishment should be that he'd have to spend a Sunday afternoon at a Verizon store waiting to get served," he joked. "I was doing that a couple of weeks ago, and that's worse than anything the NCAA can do." [4:10]

However, the CFB analyst suggested a legal remedy for Michigan if the NCAA takes the case to court. He referenced NCAA president Charlie Baker's remarks after last year's championship, where Baker stated Michigan won "fair and square."

“I don’t think this is a rebuilding year. They have a good enough team on the defensive side to be a Playoff team, but the schedule is not their friend. They’re gonna have to pull an upset.”

Finebaum labelled Michigan's early-season clash with Texas as pivotal:

“That’s a game they probably need to win to get far along because there’s a couple of games they’re not going to beat. For Michigan, 10-2 will get them in...9-3 and it’s gonna be a long Saturday night on Selection Sunday weekend.”
