"Three years ago [during the 2021 season] we we had a decent spike in some bumps and bruises, and we've got that right now. So we've got to develop depth. That's going to be really, really important for us moving forward."

The freshman Rappleyea appeared in the game against West Virginia but did miss Week 2.

KJ Winston, S

“We’re going to have to develop, you know, a few more guys, especially, you know, hopefully we’ll see timing wise how this whole thing will play out,” said Franklin, via ABC27.

Winston had 12 tackles and forced a fumble in their season-opening win against West Virginia, but got injured in the first quarter against Bowling Green.
