Photo: $1.7M NIL-valued Jalen Milroe rocks dashing black suit with diamond-studded necklace during 2024 SEC Media Days
Jalen Milroe made a splash at the 2024 SEC Media Days in Dallas. Seen as “The Quarterback” for the 2024 college football season with Heisman Trophy talks already swirling around his name, Milroe dazzled as the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback last season.
The player wore a dashing black suit paired with a diamond-studded necklace for the event. The $1.7 million NIL-valued athlete (as per On3) had his Instagram handle, “TheMilTicket,” prominently displayed on the bling. The look was shared on X/Twitter by "The Next Round" podcast, captioned:
“Started from the bottom now he here”
Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer, renowned for his offensive mindset, is fully backing his star player and is expected to elevate Milroe’s game to new heights. Last season, Milroe racked up 2,834 passing yards and 35 total touchdowns.
The athlete believes that he wasn't able to fully soak in everything from the QB1 role last year at Alabama. However, Milroe is certain that he can build upon the experience in 2024 with coach DeBoer and offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan's help.

Jalen Milroe wants to master football
Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe is determined to elevate his game. After stepping up as the starter last year due to Bryce Young’s switch to the NFL, he helped Alabama to an SEC title and a playoff berth.
Milroe has set new goals for himself and, speaking to Adam Breneman, he said:
"As a quarterback there's a lot of things you can dive deep into and improve in. But for me, I want to master the game of football," Milroe said. "Run game, passing game, pass protection, run schemes. I want to see football in the lens of an offensive coordinator or head coach."
He wants to understand the game from a strategic viewpoint:
"The teams that are able to be excellent and very efficient and successful are teams with a very good quarterback that can see in the lenses of a caller and a great defense. I'm observant of that." (Time stamp: 21:22)
It's a new world for Alabama after Nick Saban announced his retirement at the end of the 2023 season. Milroe will have to adapt to the new dynamics of the team under former Washington Huskies coach Kalen DeBoer.
