PHOTO: Bo Nix’s wife Izzy Nix couldn't contain excitement as Broncos pick former Oregon star with 12th pick

Former Oregon Ducks QB Bo Nix was drafted 12th overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday night in Detroit. To support and cheer for her husband, Izzy Smoke Nix also celebrated his special day with him.

Bo Nix’s wife, who was a cheerleader at the University of Auburn, uploaded a cheerful picture of them with her wearing a Broncos cap.

After he got drafted, the former Ducks QB sent a message to Broncos fans on social media.

“What’s up Denver!” Nix says in the video. “I am so excited to be a Bronco! This is such a dream come true. From Day 1, Denver was my No. 1. I want to say thank you to the organization [and] I can’t wait to meet the fans. Broncos Country, let’s go!”

Bo Nix and his wife Izzy have a life that is synonymous with many rom-com flicks. The two met at Auburn University where he was the star quarterback and she was a cheerleader.

He played at Auburn for three seasons and then transferred to the University of Oregon for the 2022 season. When Izzy graduated from Auburn in May 2022, the pair tied the knot two months later in Alabama. They moved to Eugene, Oregon, where Nix spent two seasons with the Ducks.

Born in October 1998, Izzy Nix and her three sibling sisters and one brother were raised in Birmingham. She spent 14 years as a gymnast but moved on from the sport before her 17th birthday.

She also played basketball when attending Evangel Christian School in Alabaster. In college, she worked as a counselor at Kanakuk Kamps in Branson.

Bo and Izzy got engaged at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn and got married in Alabama. With each other’s support, the two will now start a new chapter in their lives as an NFL couple.
