Dillon Gabriel and the Oregon Ducks faced off against Michigan State in Week 6 of the college football season on Saturday, securing a 31-10 win over the Spartans. Although Gabriel was not his usual self during the game, he helped his team win yet another game.
To support him and the Ducks, Dillon's fiancée, Zo Caswell, attended the game in a stylish outfit. She paired a long-sleeved cropped top with black denim that was spray painted with yellow to spell 'Gabriel.' She also shared an image from the stadium on her Instagram story.
Dillon Gabriel talked about his special bond with WR Tez Johnson
Despite playing one of his most underwhelming games against the Michigan State Spartans, the Ducks and their QB were still at the top and won the game at Autzen Stadium. Dillon threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns but was also intercepted twice.
Despite the turnovers, his connection with wide receiver Tez Johnson stood out, as Johnson led the team with 10 catches for 84 yards and one touchdown. While talking about his connection, the Oregon Ducks QB noted:
"Love Tez," Dillon Gabriel said, per Sports Illustrated. "I love everything he represents just as a person. I can get definitely get behind a guy like that. But secondly, his playing ability is special and he's shown that for many years. I just think all the work we've put in together, the throwing sessions, whether it's one-on-one or as a group, communication at a high level."
The team's offensive struggles were hard to miss as the first four drives were met with two quick interceptions, a punt and a touchdown. The offense was dismissed by the defense, who forced back-to-back three-and-outs.
Dillon Gabriel and the Oregon Ducks will now prepare to face the Ohio State Buckeyes next week. They will have enough time to clean up their mistakes in order to succeed against their highly ranked opponent.
