Georgia Bulldogs vs. Kentucky Wildcats preview

The Bulldogs have started the 2024 season with a perfect 2-0 record, having secured convincing wins against the Clemson Tigers and Tennessee Tech. They are eager to assert their dominance once again against the 16th-ranked Kentucky.

A victory over the Wildcats would place them at the top of the SEC settings, ahead of South Carolina and Alabama, which also have a 2-0 record.

Amongst the star-studded roster, Carson Beck remains a key player to watch with his impressive 15-1 record as a starter. He is just 53 yards shy reaching 5,000 career yards and has already accumulated 520 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

Another notable player is the Bulldogs transfer Jamon Dumas Johnson, who will face his former teammates in his new role. The Bulldogs' defense, currently tied for fourth place, and would have to pick up the pace today if they aim to stop Kentucky's attack in its stride.

Talking to the press on Monday, the Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart said (per Dawgs Central):

"I know what they’re capable of. I’ve seen them on tape. I know the football players they got. I know how physical they are. I know how they’re coached. And I know we’ve got to get ready for a really tough opponent."

Once again, the Wildcats have the chance to redeem themselves while allowing them to improve their place in the SEC Rankings early in the season.
