PHOTO: Ohio State QB Julian Sayin's GF Gabrielle Fowler shows off Buckeyes color in outfit-check snap

Julian Sayin and the Ohio State Buckeyes are currently facing the Akron Zips in their Week 1 matchup. The freshman quarterback has increased his team's depth since competing for snaps in winter practices. Though it was not announced if Sayin would be Will Howard's backup, his girlfriend, Gabrielle Fowler, attended the game in Buckeyes red.

Fowler shared an image on her Instagram story. In the photo, she is wearing a red dress while posing with her friend.

During the offseason, Sayin and Fowler attended their prom and vacationed together in California.

Julian Sayin explained why he transferred from Alabama to Ohio State

Julian Sayin was a five-star recruit who committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide during his junior season. He chose the formerly Nick Saban-coached program over Georgia and LSU but entered the transfer portal in January 2024 after the coach's retirement.

As per Buckeye Sports Bulletin, Sayin revealed that transferring to Ohio State was an easy choice because he already had a connection with coach Ryan Day.

“When I entered the transfer portal, I knew Coach Day, we had a good relationship throughout the recruiting process,” Julian Sayin said, as per Buckeye Sports Bulletin. “And then I ended up getting here and then (offensive coordinator Chip Kelly) came here and me and him had a good relationship through the recruiting process… So it was just a good fit all around and I couldn’t be happier to be here.”

When asked about why he transferred to Ohio State, he said:

“I felt like there was really good quarterback development here,” Sayin said. “Coach Day is a great quarterback whisperer. The quarterbacks they’ve had just in the past five years have put up great numbers and just really done things the right way. I wanted to come into this offense and be coached by him and by Coach Kelly.”

Julian Sayin has garnered considerable hype from fans and critics. He is predicted to be an impact freshman during the 2024 college football season.
