PIC: Quinn Ewers' GF Madelyn Barnes has perfect reaction to Donald Trump's thumping election win
In an Instagram post, Quinn Ewers' girlfriend, Madelyn Barnes, shared her reaction to Donald Trump's big election win. Trump, who defeated Kamala Harris in a close race, is set to become the 47th President of the United States.
Barnes, a student at the University of Oklahoma, showed her support by sharing a photo of Trump with “#47” displayed in the background and added clapping emojis to celebrate the news.
Trump’s victory makes him the second U.S. President to win non-consecutive terms after securing over 270 electoral votes.
Ewers and Barnes have been dating publicly since early 2023 and first appeared together on her Instagram in February.
As for Ewers’ performance on the field, Texas Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian is focused on helping him find his rhythm in practice. Ewers, however, has been keeping a low profile, skipping the team's last two press conferences.
Quinn Ewers hasn’t quite been his old self
Texas Longhorns star Quinn Ewers started this season on fire, looking like a Heisman contender and potential top-10 NFL draft pick. But since returning from an abdominal injury, he hasn’t quite been his old self.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian, however, has noticed some positive signs during Ewers’ bye-week practice sessions.
“I thought Quinn had a good week,” Sarkisian said [H/t AtoZ Sports]. “He looks fresh. He looks healthy. He’s really delivering the ball well. I like his base that he’s operating with. Thought he was really intentional with his feet and with his base against Vanderbilt.”
After the Vanderbilt game, Ewers also gave fans some hope, saying he feels “probably back to normal” after missing over two games with his injury. In a 27-24 win over Vanderbilt, Ewers completed 27 of 37 passes, racking up 288 yards with three touchdowns despite two interceptions.
The No. 5 Longhorns (7-1) are set to take on the Florida Gators (4-4) at home this Saturday. While Texas heads into the matchup off a refreshing bye, the Gators arrive after a grueling loss to Georgia.
