PIC: USC QB Miller Moss and GF Sofia Hildebrand enjoy a calming wellness session with Alo
USC quarterback Miller Moss has had a rough couple of weeks after losing QB1 status for the Trojans as coach Lincoln Riley opted to promote Jayden Maiava to that spot.
As a result, Moss announced on Monday that he was entering the transfer portal as a graduate student to find regular playing time during his last year of eligibility.
Off the gridiron, Moss and his girlfriend, Sofia Hildebrand, enjoyed a calming wellness session at Alo Spa on Friday. Hildebrand posted a mirror picture of the couple during the session on her Instagram stories.
Sia Hildebrand and Miller Moss came out as a couple in October last year during a Halloween-themed party that saw Hildebrand wearing a piglet costume. The USC quarterback wore a Winnie the Pooh costume at that event.
Hildebrand has posted pictures of herself during game days, supporting her boyfriend throughout his time at USC, even after he was dropped as the Trojans' starting quarterback.
Miller Moss entering the transfer portal after losing QB1 status
On Monday, during a phone interview with ESPN, Moss revealed his intention to enter the transfer portal after finishing the season as the backup to Jayden Maiava.
"I really enjoyed my time at USC," Miller Moss said. "It was transformative for my life as a whole and for me growing up for the last few years. I'm thankful. I gave that program everything I had. There comes a point where there's a time to move on to new opportunities, and I'm hoping to better myself as a person and a player."
During his three years in Southern California, Moss registered 3,469 yards on 65.9% completion, resulting in 27 touchdowns. These include an incredible six touchdowns in USC's Holiday Bowl win against the Louisville Cardinals last season to stake his claim as Caleb William's rightful successor.
After being named USC's QB1, Moss tallied 2,555 yards on 64.4% completion, resulting in 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season. He was dropped from QB1 status after throwing three interceptions in the USC Trojans' 26-21 loss to the Washington Huskies.
Moss was the backup quarterback to Jayden Maiava for the last three games of the season.
According to On3 analyst Pete Nakos, Miller Moss will visit both the Missouri Tigers and the Louisville Cardinals as possible destinations for next season.
His loss will leave the Trojans scrambling after losing the commitment of five-star quarterback Julian Lewis to the Colorado Buffaloes at the start of the year.
