"Poor dude will probably get drafted by the Cowboys": Fans make wild predictions for Ashton Jeanty as top Heisman contender

Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty has been dominating headlines with his remarkable season, as he led his team to a 9-1 overall record and an unbeaten conference mark. The No. 12 Broncos will face Wyoming on Saturday, with Jeanty firmly in the spotlight as he competes with Colorado Buffaloes standout Travis Hunter for the Heisman Trophy.

Ahead of the Week 13 game, Jeanty's incredible statistics have drawn widespread praise from fans. The running back leads all of FBS in all-purpose yards (1,991), rushing touchdowns (26), total yards (1,893), total touchdowns (27) and total points (162).

With Ashton Jeanty declaring for the 2025 NFL draft, fans have begun speculating wildly about which team he might join next year.

"Poor dude will probably get drafted by the Cowboys," one fan commented.
"My future number 1 pick," another commented.
"But he's a running back and only 5'9" and will probably be drafted in the 4th round," another added.

Some fans took aim at those supporting Travis Hunter for the Heisman Trophy.

"And there are people who will see all of this and will still think that Travis Hunter should get the Heisman," one fan wrote.
"And smooth brains still thinking Travis hunter should get heisman🤡" another wrote.
"Does Hunter even rank first in anything other than snaps?" another asked.

Ashton Jeanty desires to get drafted by Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys

Whether Jeanty wins the Heisman or not, he is widely projected to be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft.

The team Jeanty most hopes to play for is Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys, who have struggled this season with a 3-7 record. The Cowboys are without starting quarterback Dak Prescott, who is out for the year following hamstring surgery, but their struggles have positioned them for a top-10 pick in next year’s draft.

"My family is all in Texas. Family being there, all the connections, all the relationships, I feel like that would just be the perfect city to play in,” Jeanty said via The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

The Cowboys have a history of making the dreams of talented college players come true. Former first-round picks Ezekiel Elliott (in 2016) and Micah Parsons (in 2021) are prime examples.

If history repeats itself, Ashton Jeanty could be playing in front of a hometown crowd next season.
